The swift “Quang Trung” Campaign to build and repair homes for residents affected by storms and floods in Dak Lak province concluded in the early days of the New Year with images of sturdy new houses and rebuilt homes rising from the aftermath of natural disasters.

The entire Quang Trung campaign witnessed the timely, responsible and deeply compassionate engagement of forces ranging from authorities at all levels to the police, the military, and militia units. At reconstruction sites, the image of soldiers and police officers living with the people, sharing meals with them, and working tirelessly day and night regardless of sunshine or rain became a familiar sight, significantly shortening construction timelines while ensuring the quality of each home.

The day the PPC held a ceremony to review the campaign and bid farewell to officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 as they returned to their units, at the National Historical Site of the Dong Khoi Movement in Hoa Thinh commune, was marked by deeply moving moments of military-civilian solidarity. Over the past two months, after devoting themselves to rescuing people during devastating floods, the officers and soldiers continued tirelessly to rebuild homes under the Quang Trung Campaign. Now, as new houses have been completed and affected areas begin to recover, they return to their units, while hundreds of local residents set aside their daily work to see them off, with tearful eyes and tight embraces.

The Quang Trung Campaign carried forward the tradition of the Uncle Ho’s Army "Born of the people and serving the people" writing a peacetime epic. Senior Colonel Cao Van Muoi, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, stated: "The conclusion of the campaign also marks the beginning of new vitality. The enduring imprints of human compassion and strong military-civilian bonds will forever remain in the hearts of all. That, above all, is the most resounding victory".

The province successfully mobilized the combined strength of various forces, effectively leveraging the roles of the military, the police, and grassroots authorities, while ensuring openness, transparency, and proper targeting.
