On January 28, in Tuy Hoa Ward, the Provincial Labour Federation held the 2026 program “Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party” under the theme: “Ensuring that all union members and workers enjoy Tet and celebrate a joyful holiday”.
At the program, the organisers presented 300 Tet gift packages, each worth VND 800,000, comprising cash and Tet gifts; simultaneously, provided funding to support the construction of five “Trade Union Shelter” houses, each valued at VND 50 million, helping disadvantaged union members stabilise their lives and work with peace of mind.

Addressing the program, comrade Le Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labour, said that in 2025, amid the provincial administrative restructuring and the severe impact of natural disasters, including historic flooding, trade unions at all levels had proactively and flexibly rolled out a wide range of activities to care for and support union members and workers.
Trade unions at all levels have supported the construction and renovation of 135 “Trade Union Shelter” houses, with total funding exceeding VND 6 billion, helping disadvantaged union members secure stable housing and focus on work and production.

For the 2026 “Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party” programme in particular, the Provincial Labour Federation aims to support around 3,600 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with total funding of more than VND 3 billion sourced from trade unions and contributions from businesses. The program seeks to spread the spirit of solidarity, ensuring that all union members and workers can celebrate a warm and joyful Tet together.
In directive remarks at the program, comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, acknowledged and commended the efforts of trade unions at all levels in caring for union members and workers in recent times.
Comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong stressed that trade union organisations must continue to stay close to grassroots levels, closely monitor employment, income and living conditions of workers, and promptly advise Party committees and authorities on appropriate support measures. Simultaneously, they should proactively strengthen coordination with departments, sectors, localities and the business community to mobilise additional resources to care for union members and workers, particularly those in difficult and vulnerable circumstances.
