Dak Lak targets VND 16 trillion in tourism revenue in 2026

According to the provincial People’s Committee’s tourism development plan, Dak Lak aims to generate VND 16 trillion in total tourism revenue in 2026, up 17% compared to 2025. The province also targets to attract 8 million tourist, an increase of 9% year-on-year.

To achieve these goals, the province will organize a year-long series of tourism events in 2026 to stimulate demand and attract tourists. Highlights include: Dak Lak Tuna Festival 2026 (late April–early May) under the theme “Essence of Golden Line Fishing – Aspiration to Reach the Open Sea”; Whale Worship Festival 2026 – Essence of Coastal Heritage (early June) themed “Essence of Fishing Villages”; Dak Lak Provincial Cultural Heritage Week of Ethnic Groups 2026 (November); and the Dak Lak Durian Festival (third quarter), among others.

In addition, Dak Lak will host a number of national-level sporting events, including: the National Airgun Championship (March); the Marathon “Conquering the First Sunrise on the Mainland – Dai Lanh Cape” (June); the National U11 Football Finals (July); the National Karate Clubs Championship (July); the National Table Tennis Clubs Championship (October); and the National Indoor Rowing Championship (December).

Alongside these signature activities and events, the province will step up efforts to attract investors to tap into its tourism potential, calling for investment in eco-tourism, resort tourism, amusement parks, and large-scale integrated tourism service complexes. Simultaneously, Dak Lak will reorganize and upgrade tourism service points, local product exhibition areas, and recreational facilities to provide the best possible services for visitors.
