The Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation (S.T.I.D) Development of Dak Lak province has recently launched the “Digital literacy for the people - 2026” movement along with an online competition to learn about S.T.I.D in 2026, and officially inaugurated the Provincial Data Center.
The program was held directly at the Smart City Monitoring and Operating Center, combined with online participation from 102 communes together with wards throughout the province.

At the program, Dak Lak province officially launched the “Digital Literacy for the People” movement in 2026 with five key objectives. Specifically, 100% adults are equipped with basic knowledge of digital transformation, possess digital skills, as well as effectively use smart devices to access information, utilize essential digital platforms and services, while engaging safely in the digital environment. 80% adults are confirmed to have achieved literacy in digital transformation alongside digital skills on the VNeID platform. 100% workers in enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative unions have knowledge of digital technology, possess digital skills, along with effectively use smart devices to serve production and business, improving labor productivity. 100% students from primary-school level are equipped with digital knowledge as well as skills (content appropriate to their grade level) to support learning, research, and creativity, recognize risks, while having skills to ensure safety in the digital environment. 100% officials, civil servants, and employees in agencies understand digital transformation, possess digital knowledge together with skills, and can utilise digital platforms alongside services to support their work.
At the program, an online quiz on S.T.D was also launched to encourage individuals and units to propose innovative initiatives along with breakthrough solutions for the provincial digital transformation process.

A key highlight of the program was the launch of the Dak Lak Provincial Data Center. Considered the “digital heart” of the province, the Center operates shared systems, connecting as well as sharing data among departments, agencies, and localities, while ensuring information security and cybersecurity.
This milestone marks a significant step in the roadmap for building a digital government, digital economy, and digital society, contributing to improved the state management efficiency, increasing transparency, alongside better public services.
In his directive speech and program launch, comrade Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, PPC Chairman, along with Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee, requested that each department, agency, commune, together with ward closely adhere to the assigned goals and targets to implement the “Digital Literacy Movement” comprehensively, widely, and successfully, as well as to well-organize the online competition on S.T.I.D in Dak Lak province in 2026, ensuring that it meets the content alongside requirements; departments and agencies must pay attention to, along with promptly complete specialized databases. The Department of Science and Technology must urgently complete the provincial-level database. Simultaneously, he requested that all departments, agencies, together with the 102 communes and wards seriously connect as well as update data into the system; ensuring information security and safety is an absolute priority.
