Following the provincial merger, Dak Lak has emerged as a land endowed with rare advantages for tourism development at both regional as well as international levels. Beyond its stunning natural landscapes stretching from the coastal shoreline toward the vast Central Highlands, the province also benefits from an integrated transport network comprising roads, railways, airports, plus seaports.
Dak Lak features diverse, distinctive natural scenery alongside rich cultural characteristics. In the east lie blue seas with white sands, featuring well-known destinations such as Bai Nom Beach, Dien Cape, plus Da Dia Reef, accompanied by unique coastal cultural traits. Westward unfolds a majestic mountain-forest landscape, home to the Dray Nur-Dray Sap waterfall complex, Lak Lake, together with villages rich in highland cultural identity.

Mr. Le Phuc Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, Tourism, observed that diversification of tourism products will enable visitors to enjoy varied experiences without traveling long distances, thereby increasing both length of stay along with visitor spending. Building upon this diverse landscape, the province is concentrating on two signature product lines: the “Land of Natural and Stone Heritage”, associated with the Phu Yen Geopark, alongside “Mountain Ecotourism and Resort Tourism”, leveraging the cool climate plus the extensive system of natural lakes.
Notably, Dak Lak has identified green, sustainable tourism development, placing local residents at the center as a guiding orientation. Community-based alongside ecotourism tours are expanding rapidly, creating opportunities for residents to participate directly in tourism activities, preserve cultural identity, improve incomes, plus establish a solid social foundation for long-term sectoral growth.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Director of Kotam Community Tourism Joint Stock Company, also Vice Chairwoman of the Đắk Lắk Tourism Association, emphasized that the provincial tourism sector is facing significant opportunities as markets expand while international tour routes increasingly turn toward Dak Lak. The administrative merger has facilitated closer cooperation among travel agencies, transport providers, accommodation services, enabling the formation of closed supply chains that enhance service quality while reducing costs.
Dak Lak’s appeal has likewise attracted attention from international investors. Indochina Capital Group is implementing high-end resort projects such as Mandarin Oriental Bai Nom Beach plus Wink Hotel Tuy Hoa. According to Mr. Peter Ryder, CEO of Indochina Capital, the area boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Việt Nam, breathtaking mountainous scenery, alongside a distinctive cultural foundation, elements increasingly sought by modern travelers. The group remains confident these factors will create strong momentum for the provincial tourism industry in the future.
Through a harmonious combination of pristine nature, rich cultural identity, synchronized connectivity infrastructure, alongside a sustainable development orientation, Dak Lak stands before a golden opportunity to affirm its position on Vietnam’s tourism map. This is an ideal time for visitors to explore the province, for investors to accompany Dak Lak on its journey toward becoming a new tourism hub of the South Central Coast-Central Highlands region.
