In recent years, production establishments, enterprises together with cooperatives across the province have actively invested in as well as applied science and technology (S&T), improving product quality while promoting economic development.
In Thanh Nhat Ward, rice vermicelli, glass noodles alongside dried pho production has a long-standing tradition and serves as a main source of income for many households. Most producers have recently invested in modern machinery with strict processes, from input rice selection through each production stage, in order to enhance both productivity alongside quality. In addition, in 2019, local households joined forces to establish Chi Lang - Khanh Xuan Agricultural and Service Cooperative specialising for producing rice vermicelli, glass noodles as well as dried pho, with nine members. Thanks to these changes, craft village output has improved in both quality together with volume, meeting demand across provinces nationwide.

Mr. Ha Van Tuyen, Director of the cooperative, said: “With two machines in operation, my family produces about 250 kilograms of rice vermicelli, glass noodles along with dried pho per day. Cooperative products have been recognised as four-star OCOP products”.
Le Gia Tay Nguyen TPM Company Limited in Cu Bao Ward, began coffee production in 2018 and has since secured a stable market both within alongside beyond provincial boundaries. In 2024, supported by an industrial promotion programme, the company invested in colour-sorting as well as bean-classification equipment, producing high-quality coffee that meets food safety standards while targeting export markets.
According to Director Le Trong Tuan, investment in advanced technology ensures efficient production, increases productivity, reduces costs, together with minimises material loss during processing. Simultaneously, it delivers higher-quality products, improves customer satisfaction, and contributes to public health. Company revenue has grown by 15-20 % annually compared with the pre-investment period. Its coffee has also been certified as three-star OCOP.

Similarly, Dak Lak Macadamia Company Limited in Buon Ho Ward in order to improve processing efficiency and increase the value of durian products, the company has invested in a smart freeze-drying system for durian processing with support from the industrial promotion programme. Compared with traditional drying methods, freeze-drying technology reduces material loss, saves labour costs, along with significantly improves quality along with commercial value. Furthermore, the use of locally sourced durian contributes to stabilising output for farmers, moving towards sustainable production and enhancing the value of local industrial output. The company’s dried durian products have been recognised as four-star OCOP.
S&T clearly serve as a key driver in improving quality, added value as well as competitiveness, particularly for OCOP products. Technology application in production, combined with participation in OCOP development, has enabled producers to enhance quality and build stronger brands.
