Decisive action drives breakthrough growth

Achieving double-digit economic growth during the 2026-2030 period is more than a development target. It serves as a benchmark for governance capacity, resource mobilisation and the collective strength of Dak Lak Province's political system as it enters a novel stage of development following the provincial merger.

That vision has been consistently reflected in both the 2026 Dak Lak Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference as well as policy actions introduced immediately afterwards. With the provincial master plan unveiled, investment approvals granted for a series of projects coupled with investors expressing strong confidence in the locality, the immediate priority is to convert development potential into completed projects, productive investment and tangible economic growth.

A hallmark of the provincial approach has been decisive action. Shortly after the investment promotion conference, the PPC reviewed outcomes before establishing a dedicated task force to monitor and facilitate project implementation under the principle of six clear responsibilities: clear assignment of personnel, tasks, timelines, accountability combined with responsibility for every project. The initiative reaffirmed the provincial commitment to measuring public administration effectiveness by business success.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee has also established five special task forces while launching a 45-day campaign to accelerate site clearance for key projects. Each task force is headed by one of the five members of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, with PPC leaders serving as deputy heads. By leading field inspections, directing implementation and resolving bottlenecks on site, provincial leaders have delivered a clear message that every obstacle must be addressed at its source, leaving no room for delays, buck-passing or avoidance of responsibility.

Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Deputies' Delegation, reaffirmed the provincial determination to turn planning into reality, transform potential into resources alongside convert comparative advantages into novel growth drivers, positioning Dak Lak as a major growth pole for the South Central Coast and Central Highlands.

Comrade Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and PPC Chairman, stressed that local authorities would stand alongside businesses throughout project implementation. Government agencies will proactively prepare clean land funds, expedite site clearance while ensuring all prerequisites are in place; therefore, projects can commence without delay.

The establishment of the special task forces reflects a significant shift in governance. Rather than relying on lengthy reporting procedures across multiple administrative levels, provincial leaders are working directly at project sites, engaging stakeholders, resolving issues firsthand while narrowing the gap between policymaking and implementation.

Following the provincial merger, Dak Lak now enjoys a broader development landscape and stronger strategic advantages by connecting the Central Highlands with the coast. Coupled with strengths in high-tech agriculture, processing industries, logistics, energy, tourism along with the marine economy, the provincial challenge extends beyond achieving rapid growth to ensuring long-term, sustainable development driven by institutional reform, digital transformation and stronger competitiveness.

Maintaining double-digit growth remains an ambitious objective. However, with the entire political system working in concert, senior leaders assuming direct responsibility for every project coupled with bottleneck, that ambition is being translated into a novel governance model underpinned by concrete action, stronger accountability and decisive execution.
