Born into a family with more than 50 years of experience cultivating coffee on basalt red soil, Nguyen An Son of Quang Phu commune gained early insight into the ups and downs of farming under traditional cultivation methods.

After retirement, Mr Son invested approximately 500 million VND to develop a coffee production model applying new technologies across 6.5 hectares of Robusta coffee. He replanted coffee using a multi-stem method without topping, combined with an Israeli drip irrigation system. Since 2021, this model has delivered an average yield of 5.5 tonnes of beans per hectare, 1.5 times higher than traditional methods.
Beyond raw production, Mr Son invested in machinery to process coffee using the honey method, producing high-quality green beans and enhancing product value. Over five years, total output reached 130 tonnes, generating nearly 8.5 billion VND in revenue.
In September 2025, Nguyen An Son was honoured by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union with the title “Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer”, representing a new generation of farmers pioneering innovation and contributing to the development of green and sustainable agriculture.

Established in 2006 amid intense competition in the garment sector, the company adopted a methodical development path from the outset, placing efficiency and quality at its core. Operations are organised under a lean production model, with synchronised investment in facilities, gradual automation of production lines and the application of international management standards such as 5S and ISO, meeting increasingly stringent requirements of major markets.
Alongside production expansion, Ms Khiet early on oriented the enterprise towards green growth. In January 2021, the company completed and put into operation a rooftop solar power system, helping to reduce costs, cut emissions and promote sustainable development. The company currently operates 58 industrial sewing lines, providing stable employment for nearly 2,700 workers.
Thanks to a clear governance strategy, the company has maintained steady growth, with products trusted by partners in the United States and Europe. For her outstanding contributions, Huynh Thi Khiet has been honoured four times with the “Golden Rose Cup - Outstanding Vietnamese Businesswoman” award, becoming a representative image of the modern, resilient and ambitious Vietnamese woman in the marketplace.
Closely engaged in local youth movements, Nguyen Quy Ngoc Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union and Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation in Dur Kmal commune, recognised early that the major challenge facing rural youth lies not only in limited capital but also in constraints in entrepreneurial mindset and production organisation.

From this concern, in 2023 he proactively researched and proposed the initiative “Green Youth Start-ups - Sustainable Economic Development”. According to Mr Linh, green entrepreneurship does not necessarily begin with large-scale models, but must be suited to local conditions, capitalise on existing strengths and ensure responsible production towards the environment and community.
Through his guidance and coordination, many young people joined Thanh Binh Agricultural Services Cooperative, organising 100 hectares of rice production under VietGAP standards, achieving an average yield of seven tonnes per hectare. The model has generated stable annual incomes of 80-120 million VND for many members, while enabling young people to access safe production processes and develop a mindset of cooperation and sustainable business practices.
At the same time, Mr Linh promoted start-ups linked with social responsibility through the establishment of a Youth Environmental Services Cooperative Group. With six members and total capital of 200 million VND, the group undertakes periodic waste collection across the commune, contributing to improved rural environmental conditions while creating additional jobs and income for young people.
In 2025, Nguyen Quy Ngoc Linh was honoured as one of 69 outstanding Youth Federation officials nationwide to receive the “15 October” Award, recognising his sustained efforts in spreading green entrepreneurship from the grassroots and contributing to sustainable new rural development.
