Agreement on preliminary list of candidates for 16th National Assembly and 11th Dak Lak Provincial People’s Council

The Standing Board of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has held the second consultative conference to report on candidate nominations while compiling the preliminary list of nominees for the 16th National Assembly alongside the 11th Dak Lak Provincial People’s Council for the 2026 - 2031 term.

The first consultative conference reached agreement on the number of nominees introduced by central plus local agencies and organisations for the election of 15 National Assembly deputies, including six nominees from central bodies alongside nine from agencies and organisations in Dak Lak Province. With 15 seats to be filled, the overall number of nominees stands at 28.

Based on nomination results from agencies, organisations plus units, together with summary profiles alongside brief biographies provided by the Provincial Election Committee, the Standing Board of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has compiled a preliminary list of 144 candidates for the 11th Dak Lak Provincial People’s Council for the 2026 - 2031 term.

At the conference, delegates discussed, voted, then reached consensus on the preliminary list of 22 candidates for the 16th National Assembly representing Dak Lak Province, together with the preliminary list of 144 candidates for the 11th Dak Lak Provincial People’s Council for the 2026 - 2031 term, in preparation for gathering voters’ comments at their places of residence.

Within the framework of the conference, delegates discussed, exchanged views to clarify several issues requiring attention during the organisation of meetings for collecting voters’ comments at places of residence alongside workplaces of the nominated candidates.

Addressing the conference, Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An highly appreciated the sense of responsibility demonstrated by the delegates, while requesting the Standing Board of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to continue focusing on properly implementing the steps for collecting opinions on nominated candidates at their workplaces as well as places of residence in accordance with regulations plus the prescribed timeline. 

Concluding the conference, Comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong emphasised that the second consultative conference serves as an important basis for the Vietnam Fatherland Front to continue collecting voters’ comments plus expressions of confidence at places of residence regarding candidates for the 16th National Assembly alongside People’s Councils at all levels, thereby proceeding with the third consultative conference for officially finalising the list of candidates.
