The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly along with representatives of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 tenure is drawing near. Across localities in Dak Lak Province, digital technology is playing an increasingly important role in supporting election-related work, enabling residents to access information more easily while exercising civic rights and responsibilities.
In Dang Kang Commune, a newly established administrative unit formed through the merger involving the former Dang Kang, Cu Kty Commune alongside Hoa Thanh Commune, disseminating election information so that more than 15,200 voters across 28 polling stations can fully grasp relevant details presents a considerable challenge.

A notable highlight during this year’s election is the introduction of communication products supported by A.I and widely promoted via local digital platforms. Rather than posting lengthy documents or resolutions, the local Election Committee along with mass organisations in Dang Kang Commune has proactively applied A.I to produce 80 news items, articles, short videos and trailers introducing the significance of the election, voting procedures together with candidate biographies, etc.
Local authorities have actively guided residents on how to change their polling locations through the electronic identification application VNeID whenever necessary. So far, more than 1,000 voters have switched polling sites via this online method, allowing citizens greater initiative when exercising civic rights.
In Quang Phu Commune, the upcoming election will involve six electoral units and 38 polling stations, with a total electorate of 43,203 people. Owing to its large population, the commune faces considerable challenges while compiling voter lists that remain accurate as well as duplication-free. The communal police force has played a pivotal role by utilising the National Population Database of Vietnam in support of election work. Through this digital platform, communal police officers have coordinated closely with specialised agencies, enabling systematic collection, review and verification of information.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Hong Nhat, Chief of the Commune Police in Quang Phu, noted that these efforts not only save time and effort for grassroots officials but also contribute significantly toward the overall success of the election, thereby creating the most favourable conditions for citizens to exercise their rights.
Alongside these efforts, all villages and hamlets in Quang Phu Commune have currently established groups on Zalo connecting residents while sharing communication materials related to the election. In addition, the commune’s official fanpage together with pages run by local mass organisations regularly post and share instructional videos on voting procedures together with updates and information concerning the election.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thu, a resident of Hamlet 4 in Quang Phu Commune, shared: “Previously, I had to visit the commune headquarters or polling stations to check candidate lists and biographies. Now I simply open a smartphone with an internet connection to access full election-related information, which is extremely convenient”.
These innovative approaches, enabled through the digital technology application across localities in Dak Lak Province, not only reflect a strong spirit of renewal and creativity but also help ensure the provincial election proceeds smoothly, safely, and fully in line with regulations.
