Meticulous preparation for the major national event

Adhering closely to the directives of the Central authorities, the province and the Provincial Election Committee, localities are entering the peak phase, completing the final tasks to ensure that the elections of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 tenure are conducted democratically, in accordance with the law, safely and economically.

Meticulous personnel preparation

At the grassroots level, personnel work has been identified as the key stage, determining the quality of deputies and the effectiveness of People’s Council operations in the new tenure.

In Van Hoa commune, after three rounds of consultation, the official list of 27 candidates for the 2026-2031 commune People’s Council has been finalised, including 11 women, accounting for 40.47%; 9 candidates under the age of 40, accounting for 33.33%; and 1 ethnic minority candidate. The proportion of re-elected deputies stands at 62.96%. This structure reflects a balance between continuity and renewal, and between experience and youth.

Similarly, in Tay Son commune, the official list of candidates for the 2026-2031 commune People’s Council has been compiled in accordance with the allocated number, composition and structure. Consultation conferences were conducted democratically, ensuring the participation of representatives of the Fatherland Front and mass organisations.

Closely monitoring the election preparations in the locality, Mr. Hoang The Chuan of Van Hoa commune stated: “We have been fully informed about the list of candidates and each candidate’s action programme. With such transparency, residents feel reassured and have a sound basis for making their choice”.

Accelerating final preparations

Alongside personnel work, the compilation and public posting of voter lists have been carried out urgently and carefully, ensuring citizens’ voting rights.

In Van Hoa commune, authorities have reviewed and compiled a list of 4,831 voters, divided into 11 polling stations. The lists have been publicly posted for residents to check and verify their information. Changes in residency status, including those working away from home or temporarily residing elsewhere, have been promptly updated.

In O Loan commune, voter lists have also been compiled and posted in accordance with regulations. Polling stations have been arranged to suit local conditions; polling rooms, ballot boxes, seals and election materials have been carefully inspected and prepared. Specific plans have been developed to ensure security, traffic safety and fire prevention on election day.

According to comrade Nguyen Van Tinh, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council and Head of the Election Steering Committee of O Loan commune, the locality has stepped up communications through the public address system and village meetings so that residents clearly understand the time, location, and their rights and obligations. With full information provided, voters proactively check their names on the list and are ready to participate on election day.

As election day approaches, preparations in communes and wards are becoming increasingly urgent. From personnel work and voter list compilation to facility preparation, each step has been carried out thoroughly. Such proactive efforts not only ensure a safe and lawful election but also strengthen public confidence in their representative bodies for the new tenure.
