Together with the rest of the country, Dak Lak province is experiencing vigorous transformations, operating with a renewed spirit aimed at generating fresh growth drivers as well as greater efficiency in socio-eco development, while gradually enhancing the material plus spiritual well-being among the people.

Streamlining the apparatus, acting for the people

The provincial socio-eco development landscape has continued displaying positive momentum. In 2025, its gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at growth of 6.68%; economic scale reached VND 229.55 trillion; State budget revenue amounted to VND 18.208 trillion; industrial production rose by 12%; export turnover attained US$2.8 billion; meanwhile tourism posted a strong rebound, generating revenue reaching VND 13.626 trillion.

The spirit of proactive governance has been clearly demonstrated through administrative reform, improvement regarding the investment climate, alongside digital transformation. The province has completed eight digital applications, piloted dashboard systems for monitoring sectoral plus field-specific indicators, facilitated establishment of 3,168 new enterprises, while granting investment policy approval for 47 projects with registered capital surpassing VND 35.623 trillion.

Social welfare has been ensured, with the poverty rate declining to 2.08%; employment created for nearly 56,000 workers; meanwhile the programme aimed at eliminating temporary plus dilapidated housing was completed through construction of 8,915 homes.

The spirit of resolute action was clearly demonstrated through efforts addressing consequences arising from storms as well as floods late in 2025. More than 5,900 tonnes of rice were allocated for hunger relief; VND 385.6 billion, alongside over 2,600 tonnes of essential goods, was delivered as support; hundreds of houses were newly built or repaired; essential infrastructure was gradually restored, thereby contributing toward stabilisation of local residents’ lives.

The restructuring of the organisational apparatus, together with the establishment of a two-tier local government, has emerged as an institutional breakthrough, markedly cutting down focal points, administrative units as well as staffing levels. The new model has functioned effectively, with over 98% of dossiers handled on schedule, roughly 75% of applications filed online, while the public satisfaction rate reached 91%.

According to comrade Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee plus Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, a notable hallmark lies in ensuring progress in reorganising the organisational structure alongside administrative units, coupled with the successful convening of Party congresses at every level after the merger, particularly the first Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure. The implementation process has secured streamlining, effectiveness as well as efficiency while maintaining political-social stability. The province has proactively identified internal “bottlenecks”; simultaneously, it has introduced flexible solutions in response to external fluctuations, thereby safeguarding smooth operation throughout the political system.

Turning development aspirations into reality

The 14th National Party Congress set forth strategic decisions carrying far-reaching significance, aimed at successfully realising the country’s two centennial strategic goals. Party Central Committee Member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, comrade Cao Thi Hoa An affirmed: “For Dak Lak, this serves as a vital political foundation for further refinement of its long-term development vision, shaping an integrated model that ensures harmony between the Central Highlands alongside a sea-oriented space, expands growth potential while reinforcing regional connectivity as well as deep global integration. The requirement goes beyond sustaining growth; more importantly, it is about laying groundwork for rapid, sustainable, distinctive development, which calls for breakthrough thinking, a long-range vision, coupled with strict discipline plus the promotion of exemplary responsibility”.

With thorough understanding of the spirit of development-oriented governance, 2026 - the inaugural year of the new tenure has been designated by the Party organisation together with provincial authorities in Dak Lak as a pivotal period for execution of ten key tasks, centring on three major pillars: effective implementation of the Resolution adopted at the 14th National Party Congress; promotion of double-digit economic expansion in parallel with administrative reform plus enhancement of the investment climate; completion of the two-tier local government apparatus in a streamlined, effective, efficient manner.

In parallel with these priorities, the province remains resolute in removing bottlenecks linked to land-related issues as well as stalled projects, accelerating key undertakings, safeguarding social welfare, maintaining national defence together with security, and proactively responding to natural disasters plus climate change.
