Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam has emerged as one of the fastest-recovering tourism markets in Southeast Asia, with international arrivals rebounding to around 98% of pre-pandemic levels.
Vietnam’s exports reached about 470 billion USD for the first time last year, up more than 16% year on year, with a trade surplus of over 20 billion USD, contributing significantly to maintaining macroeconomic stability.
Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh said AI is opening up new opportunities, from analysing trends and personalising products to optimising promotion, revenue management and visitor flow forecasting, while shaping a smart tourism ecosystem.
