Dak Lak province is implementing the digital transformation project (DX) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout 2026 as well as the 2026-2030 period in order to gradually form a synchronized ecosystem supporting DX for SMEs province-wide.
By the end of this year, Dak Lak province aims to achieve the following: 100% of SMEs have access to information coupled with materials on DX; at least 20% are supported in using at least one digital platform to serve production combined with business operations or enterprise management; at least 30% participate in training activities designed to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and skills; at least 20% of businesses are guided as well as supported in implementing basic cybersecurity solutions; alongside 50% are expected to incorporate digital signatures, electronic contracts, or digital payments in their production and business.

The goal is to strive to form a synchronized DX support ecosystem for SMEs throughout the province by 2030; at least 50% of businesses will integrate digital platforms into their management, production, and business operations; while an equal proportion will implement basic information security solutions; at least 100 businesses will be supported in applying novel digital technologies including AI, IoT, and big data; along with at least 20 exemplary DX business models will be formed in the provincial priority sectors.
The tasks coupled with solutions set by Dak Lak province include perfecting the institutional and policy framework to support SMEs in DX; developing infrastructure to support DX for SMEs, especially digital infrastructure coupled with shared infrastructure for innovation alongside DX support; expanding access to research infrastructure, technology development, key laboratories, technology research and development centers, together with innovation centers; while supporting SMEs in implementing DX and developing a digital ecosystem.
Dak Lak province currently has 21,218 businesses alongside branches of businesses registered outside the province still operating, mostly medium, small, and micro-sized enterprises. During the first half of this year, 1,991 new businesses were established.
