Villages take on new look ahead of election day

These days, in villages across Dak Lieng and Lien Son Lak communes, areas home to a large number of M’nong residents, preparations for the upcoming election festival are being carried out with urgency and responsibility.

Recognising the election as a major political event, local authorities have proactively implemented communication activities and ceremonial decorations from an early stage. Loudspeaker systems continuously broadcast information about pre-election activities, helping residents clearly understand their rights and responsibilities as voters. At polling stations, voter lists and brief biographies of candidates have been publicly posted in prominent and convenient locations so that residents can easily follow the information.

Along the main road connecting Jun village and Le village in Lien Son Lak commune, the red of national flags and banners brightens the entire community. Banners and slogans have been erected in solemn display, enabling residents to easily access election-related information.

H Kum Eung, a resident of Le village, expressed hope that elected deputies will promote connections to help bring locally produced goods to tourism destinations both within and beyond the province. She also hopes that deputies to People’s Councils at all levels in the new tenure will remain closely connected with the grassroots and adopt practical policies to support the preservation and vocational training of traditional crafts.

In Dak Lieng commune, the commune broadcasting system has been operating continuously in recent days. In particular, mobile communication vehicles decorated with election slogans have been travelling through every road and village to ensure that election information reaches all sections of the population.

Nguyen Quang Dung, Secretary of the Dak Lieng commune Party Committee, Chairman of the commune People’s Council and Head of the commune Election Steering Committee, said the locality considers communication work to be a step that must always go ahead. In line with that direction, the commune has proactively implemented a range of coordinated solutions to bring election information closer to residents.

Specifically, the commune has successfully organised two contests on knowledge about election work, attracting wide participation from officials and local residents. These contents were also effectively integrated into activities commemorating the founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, creating a meaningful and wide-ranging political event among officials and Party members. To date, election preparations in Dak Lieng have largely completed all required steps according to the established timeline.
