A vibrant start to the year’s work and production

Immediately after the Lunar New Year holiday, workers, farmers and labourers across the province resumed work with expectations of a successful year ahead.

At eastern industrial parks namely Hoa Hiep and North-East Song Cau, as well as An Phu, which host numerous seafood processing and garment export enterprises, large numbers of workers returned to their posts as early as the sixth day of the Lunar New Year. Given the time-sensitive nature of these sectors and the volume of orders signed late last year, factories have proactively accelerated production.

In the services and tourism sector, numerous enterprises also promptly launched their new business season. A representative of Hatu Tour Trading and Tourism Services Co., Ltd. said that from the first days of the year, the company had organised tours to coastal destinations including Da Dia Reef, Dien Cape, Xep Beach and Nghinh Phong Tower, mobilised tour guides and transport services, and strengthened linkages with accommodation providers and travel partners both within and outside the province.

According to Nguyen Huynh Vinh Huy, Chairman of the Dak Lak Young Entrepreneurs Association, the business community entered the new year with initial orders already secured. Alongside implementing contracts with foreign partners, member enterprises have stepped up cooperation to form supply chains in raw materials, technology and markets in order to enhance competitiveness.

The early spring working atmosphere is evident not only in factories and industrial parks but also across the province’s agricultural and fisheries production areas.

At agricultural cooperatives, harvesting and crop care activities have been carried out with urgency. At Ea Wy Agricultural Production Cooperative, following the Tet holiday, more than 100 member households promptly commenced the second round of irrigation and focused on intensive care for over 100 hectares of coffee. The sense of optimism has been reinforced by the recent coffee crop’s impressive yield, averaging 4 tonnes of beans per hectare, coupled with high prices hovering around 100,000 VND per kilogramme.

In coastal fishing villages, the first voyages of the year set sail immediately after Tet, carrying hopes for a favourable fishing season. Tran Van An, a fisherman in Binh Kien ward, said that seas are often calm after Tet and nearshore resources relatively abundant, prompting many vessels to depart early.

From factories to fields, from service enterprises to fishing villages, the pace of work at the start of the year has been brisk and disciplined. The proactive stance of enterprises, together with the sense of responsibility demonstrated by workers and farmers, is generating a dynamic emulation movement and strong determination to build growth momentum from the outset of the year.
