Tourism revenue during the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday is estimated at over 457.5 billion VND

During the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday, Dak Lak province organised a vibrant series of cultural, artistic and sporting activities, attracting nearly 400,000 visitors.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Party and Spring celebrations were implemented in a coordinated manner from provincial to grassroots levels. Highlights included the New Year’s Eve artistic programme held at March 10 square and Phu Yen square on the evening of February 16, 2026. Gong performances, Bai Choi singing and a photo exhibition at the Dak Lak museum also drew large crowds of residents and visitors.

Across localities, festive activities took place in a lively atmosphere, including Bai Choi festival in Tuy An Nam commune; an artistic performance programme in Ea Sup commune; boat and basket boat racing competitions, along with folk games, in Krong Ana, Song Hinh and Dong Xuan communes.

From the first to the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, total visitor numbers were estimated at 395,000, up 33.22% compared with the same period in 2025. Of these, international arrivals reached 5,200, an increase of 30.65%. Total tourism revenue was estimated at 457.5 billion VND, up 25%. Accommodation arrivals were estimated at over 170,000, with average occupancy reaching approximately 70%.
