The Steering Committee for Site Clearance of North-South High-Speed Railway Project section passing through Dak Lak province convened a meeting to review implementation progress of the project.

Meeting overview.

North-South High-Speed railway section crossing Dak Lak spans approximately 98.68km, running through 13 communes and wards, with one station and two maintenance depots planned along route. Total land requirement is estimated at around 807.5 hectares. Project is expected to affect approximately 5,589 land lots and structures, while about 3,025 households will require resettlement. Provincial authorities have approved plans for 18 resettlement zones alongside five reburial sites serving project implementation.

Relevant agencies are currently conducting planning work, land measurement, geological surveys and finalisation of investment documentation. Authorities aim to commence construction of resettlement together with reburial areas from third quarter of 2026, with technical infrastructure largely completed within the year. Total estimated funding for compensation as well as site clearance is projected at approximately 12.245 trillion VND.

Concluding meeting, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested departments, sectors and local authorities to thoroughly review actual demand combined with implement project components in sections where route alignment has already been finalised. He also urged relevant units to accelerate planning, investment and construction procedures for resettlement along with reburial areas while strengthening land management to prevent illegal construction activities. Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasised that completion of North-South expressway network together with implementation of North-South High-Speed railway project would create a major driving force for economic and tourism development, increase construction sector’s contribution to provincial economy as well as support Dak Lak’s target of achieving double-digit economic growth in coming years.
