Accelerating social housing projects

A working delegation from the Ministry of Construction, led by Deputy Minister of Construction, comrade Nguyen Van Sinh, held a meeting with Dak Lak PPC regarding implementation of social housing projects across province.

During the 2026 - 2030 period, Dak Lak has been assigned a target of developing 35,750 social housing units, including 3,900 units scheduled for completion in 2026 alone. This year, the province will continue implementing four ongoing projects while launching several new ones.

In addition, the province is implementing a social housing project for officers and soldiers of the provincial police force, comprising approximately 454 units with total investment capital estimated at around 894 billion VND. During the 2027 - 2030 period, Dak Lak will continue reviewing while adjusting planning for 14 land plots earmarked for social housing development, covering a total area of about 58.5ha.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and proposed various solutions aimed at removing obstacles alongside accelerating implementation progress of social housing projects province-wide.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh requested the province to continue strengthening leadership and direction, while reviewing and updating social housing development targets in line with the local socio-eco development plans. He also called for stronger efforts to resolve bottlenecks affecting ongoing projects, while shortening administrative processing times, along with select capable investors to implement projects.

For delayed projects, the province was requested to review and handle them in accordance with regulations. Investors were urged to concentrate resources, accelerate implementation progress, ensure construction quality, alongside fulfil the provincial social housing development targets.

Addressing the meeting, PPC Standing Vice Chairwoman, comrade Ho Thi Nguyen Thao affirmed that province considers social housing development an important task in ensuring social welfare. The province will continue directing departments, sectors, and localities to focus on addressing difficulties combined with obstacles while seriously incorporating the delegation’s recommendations.

The PPC Standing Vice Chairwoman assigned the Department of Construction to take the lead in developing detailed plans for each project, clearly identifying obstacles and proposing solutions. She also requested investors to focus resources as well as coordinate closely with departments, sectors, together with local authorities to accelerate social housing projects and fulfil the targets set.
