Unlocking logistics connectivity chains, elevating Dak Lak’s competitive capacity

The Mobilisation Board for establishment of Dak Lak Logistics and Seaport Association recently held the first congress of Dak Lak Logistics alongside Seaport Association for the 2026-2030 term.

The establishment of Dak Lak Logistics and Seaport Association aims to create a focal point for connectivity, coordination as well as support within logistics business community; research solutions to reduce logistics costs, enhance competitiveness, and promote supply-chain development linking Central Highlands with South Central Coast along with Southeast region.

Under the message “Unified Logistics: Shared Value Chain - One Common Vision”, the association is oriented to become a “common home” for logistics enterprises community; strengthen regional connectivity; advance modern, green and sustainable logistics; accelerate digital transformation along with application of advanced technologies; while supporting enterprises in deeper integration into regional and global supply chains.

The congress elected a nine-member Executive Committee of Dak Lak Logistics and Seaport Association for the 2026-2030 term. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Han was elected Chairman of the association.

Delivering directives at the congress, comrade Do Huu Huy emphasised that logistics is an important service sector closely associated with provincial development pillars. He called on logistics enterprises to shift from “single services” towards “integrated service chains”; strengthen connections between logistics, agriculture and processing industry; develop modern, digitalised logistics services; alongside build leading enterprises with strong connectivity capacity.

The province has also set targets of developing one to two large-scale logistics centres; expanding cold-storage systems serving agricultural exports; directly participating in export chains for key products; and gradually reducing logistics costs per unit of goods.

Dak Lak committed to continuing support for business community, improving investment and business environment, as well as prioritising investment attraction for logistics infrastructure, interregional transport connectivity, logistics centres, warehousing systems, cargo transit hubs, together with support services for agricultural production, processing and exports. Through these efforts, Dak Lak aims to gradually form a synchronised, modern logistics ecosystem, positioning itself as an important logistics coupled with cargo transit hub of Central Highlands region.
