On August 26, Dak Lak PPC and Mondulkiri Provincial Administration (Kingdom of Cambodia) reviewed implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on friendship alongside cooperation for 2024-2025, then signed a novel agreement covering 2026-2030.
Under the 2024-2025 MoU on cooperation and development, Dak Lak together with Mondulkiri actively coordinated initiatives across a wide range of fields. Both sides maintained regular delegation exchanges while closely coordinating management and protection of the shared border, promptly exchanging information as well as addressing emerging issues. These efforts contributed to maintaining political security, social order and safety, while fostering a peaceful, friendly border built on cooperation and development. In August 2026, the two provinces completed the joint identification of 40 subsidiary marker locations along the section between border markers 41 alongside 44.
