With strong support from the authorities, determination from the business community and strategic direction under Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, the private sector in Dak Lak is now facing a historic opportunity to make a major breakthrough.

Following the merger, Dak Lak has a broader development space stretching from the Central Highlands to the South Central Coast, with connectivity to Vung Ro coupled with Bai Goc ports, airports and the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway. This creates an integrated chain spanning production and processing to exports, laying the foundation for the province to realise its ambition of becoming the regional agricultural economic centre.

According to Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director General of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, this is a pivotal time for the provincial private enterprises to demonstrate initiative, creativity as well as adaptability to achieve sustainable development.

To turn potential into reality, private enterprises need to strengthen their competitiveness by promoting innovation and applying digital technologies as well as AI, while developing distinctive product brands associated with raw material areas and cultural identity to penetrate high-end markets.

Green transformation alongside sustainable development have become prerequisites for entering international supply chains, requiring enterprises to adopt clean production, reduce emissions, comply with ESG standards and ensure transparent product traceability.

Strengthening linkages among enterprises, cooperatives, regulatory agencies combined with other economic sectors is an inevitable step towards building competitive agricultural value chains. Enterprises also need to effectively leverage free trade agreements alongside the institutional breakthroughs introduced by Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW to expand exports and strengthen resilience against global economic volatility.

Sharing this view, Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association, stressed that enterprises need, above all, a favourable investment environment, transparent policies, swift coordination mechanisms and meaningful dialogue platforms. To address the challenge of increasing local added value, Dak Lak needs to establish comprehensive public-private cooperation, with the State creating an enabling environment, enterprises organising production, scientists standardising production technologies, and financial institutions mobilising resources.

According to the Department of Finance, Dak Lak will focus on promoting a shift in mindset and building consensus to foster greater ambition for private-sector development across society. The province will place particular emphasis on digital transformation in the provision of online public services, combined with unlocking land resources, resolving obstacles facing delayed projects, and effectively utilising land resources.

Simultaneously, the province will roll out support programmes, including training 10,000 executive directors, developing a cohort of 1,000 leading enterprises capable of entering international markets under the Go Global programme, supporting SMEs in accessing technology, while maintaining inter-agency legal support programmes. It will also regularly organise business dialogues and coffee programmes, while expanding thematic engagement channels of the National Assembly delegation along with the provincial People's Council.

PPC Vice Chairman, comrade Truong Cong Thai affirmed that the province would pursue substantive administrative reform aimed at minimising time and costs, with clear procedures, clear responsibilities and measurable outcomes. Simultaneously, it will prioritise the development of high-tech agriculture alongside logistics by establishing standard-compliant raw material zones, post-harvest infrastructure, cold storage facilities and origin traceability systems. The next priority will be to support SMEs together with household businesses in overcoming difficulties related to capital, land and technology, while providing management consultancy programmes.
