Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW identifies the private sector as a pioneering force driving economic growth, innovation and digital transformation (DX). In Dak Lak, private enterprises, cooperatives alongside household businesses are playing an increasingly important role in building brands for key agricultural products, including coffee, pepper, durian, macadamia nuts along with cashew nuts. Simultaneously, they are also expanding service and tourism industries while integrating local agricultural products into global supply chains.

During the first six months of 2026, total social investment in Dak Lak exceeded 27.174 trillion VND, up 2.33% year on year. State investment reached more than 8.588 trillion VND, down 5.14%, while non-state investment climbed to over 18.297 trillion VND, an increase of 11.38%. Foreign direct investment (FDI) totalled 288.1 billion VND, representing a 73.19% decline from the same period last year. |
A stable macroeconomic environment, an extensive network of new-generation free trade agreements, rapid growth of e-commerce alongside digital economy, coupled with stronger connectivity between the Central Highlands and south-central coastal region is opening up novel opportunities for growth. However, enterprises continue facing mounting challenges arising from global economic uncertainties, trade defence measures, together with increasingly stringent requirements for carbon emission reductions and product traceability.
Mr. Pham Dong Thanh, Chairman of Dak Lak Business Association, said business community seeks not merely opportunities but also more open, transparent mechanisms enabling enterprises to participate directly in investment coupled with production. He noted that the State should focus on improving institutions, investing in infrastructure, fostering a transparent business environment and providing a solid foundation for development, while businesses maximise resources, strengthen corporate governance and embrace innovation. Such an approach would effectively connect public resources with private-sector capacity, creating fresh momentum for sustainable development.
Turning development aspirations into reality
Recognising evolving development requirements, Trade Promotion Agency under Ministry of Industry and Trade has urged private business community to strengthen competitiveness, accelerate green transition, alongside expanding public-private collaboration for deeper integration into global value chains. Concurrently, key government support policies are being implemented in a coordinated manner, providing fresh momentum for local development.

Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director General of Trade Promotion Agency, said the agency would continue supporting businesses through National Trade Promotion Programme, helping bring Dak Lak's agricultural products to leading international trade fairs, including SIAL Paris alongside Asia Fruit Logistica.
Meanwhile, accelerating DX to develop a digital trade promotion ecosystem, coupled with Dak Lak's comprehensive digital infrastructure, is expected to create a level playing field for small and medium-sized enterprises. Go Global Programme Implementation for 2026-2030, together with TRISEG Project in partnership with Canada, will provide a springboard enabling exporters to promote not only products but also brands and management capabilities in international markets.
Backed by strong political commitment and effective mobilisation of social resources, Dak Lak has every foundation to realise its ambition of becoming one of Southeast Asia's leading agricultural economic hubs.
