Engaging with voters, shaping policy and promoting sustainable development

The National Election Council has announced the list of elected deputies to the 16th National Assembly (NA). As the new tenure begins, the deputies carry with them the trust and expectations of voters, alongside a firm commitment to advancing policy improvement and driving rapid, sustainable development at both local and national levels.

♦ Deputy Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee: Aligning policy with practice to drive breakthrough development in Dak Lak.

 

Fully aware of the mission of an elected representative, I will continuously strive to uphold the principle of being close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people, respecting the people, and being accountable to the people, considering as the guiding principle for all my work. On that basis, I will serve as a bridge between local realities and national policy-making; listen to and accurately reflect the opinions and recommendations of voters; strengthen oversight of law enforcement activities; and proactively propose policies to promote socio-eco development in tandem with ensuring national defence and security as well as improving living standards.

I will also focus on solutions to enhance the efficiency of land and resource management as well as utilisation; address existing shortcomings and obstacles; ensure balanced interests among the State, enterprises, alongside citizens; and pay attention to allocating residential together with production land for ethnic minorities, thereby creating sustainable resources for development. Simultaneously, I will work to mobilise resources effectively, maximise traditional growth drivers, and promote new drivers based on science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, logistics, renewable energy, along with key projects, contributing to the provincial economic growth targets in the coming period.

Alongside economic development, I will place particular emphasis on cultural and social sectors, social welfare, as well as human resource quality; preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minority groups; implementing effective sustainable poverty reduction; improving healthcare alongside education quality; ensuring that no student drops out due to financial reasons; and strengthening the training and development of officials, especially those from ethnic minority groups.

Simultaneously, I identify maintaining political stability and ensuring national defence, security, together with social order and safety as regular and critical tasks; promoting democracy while strengthening the great national unity bloc. I will fully carry out responsibilities in voter engagement, enhance dialogue with citizens as well as enterprises, and promptly address legitimate recommendations alongside concerns.

Dak Lak is facing major opportunities for breakthrough development. The double-digit growth goal is not merely an economic target, but a political commitment to a stronger, more efficient, and more equitable development phase. With the responsibility as head of the provincial Party organisation alongside a deputy of the 16th NA, I will strive to ensure close alignment between central directives and local realities, as well as between policy-making and implementation, in order to build Dak Lak into a rapidly developing, sustainable, civilised province rich in identity.

♦ Deputy Do Khac Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Affairs and Administrative - Judicial Reform under the Ministry of Public Security: Listening and acting for people’s benefit.

 

In my capacity as a NA deputy elected by voters of Dak Lak province, I commit to maintaining close ties, staying deeply engaged with voters, listening to their thoughts as well as aspirations, and representing the will together with expectations of voters in carrying out the NA’s responsibilities in law-making, deciding on important national issues, and exercising supreme oversight over the implementation of the Constitution alongside laws.

Through research, field surveys, and voter engagement during the election campaign, I have gained a deeper understanding of the difficulties faced by voters and residents in Dak Lak, such as irrigation water shortages during the dry season, unstable markets for local agricultural products, and obstacles in resolving ownership together with land use rights for residential and production land originating from state farms alongside forestry enterprises. I will focus on proposing practical solutions to address these challenges, thereby improving production efficiency, safeguarding the legitimate rights of citizens, and promoting local socio-eco development.

As an officer of the People’s Public Security working at the NA’s Committee for Public Petitions and Oversight, I will perform effectively in receiving citizens, handling petitions and complaints, as well as supervising their resolution in a timely and comprehensive manner, ensuring the legitimate rights along with interests of the people. I will also focus on the development and enforcement of policies alongside laws on security, order, crime prevention, and other legal violations, contributing to safeguarding national security, ensuring social order, safety, together with a peaceful life for the people.

I will make every effort to fulfil the commitments in my action programme presented to voters, to be worthy of their trust and confidence, as well as contribute to national construction and defence for the people’s prosperous and happy lives.

♦ Deputy Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet, Deputy Head of the full-time NA deputies’ delegation, in charge of Dak Lak Delegation: Acting for sustainable livelihoods and better living conditions for the people.

 

As a NA deputy, I commit to maintaining close ties with voters, listening to and accurately reflecting their thoughts and aspirations.

In the upcoming tenure, I will focus on proposing practical policies to improve living standards and sustainable livelihoods. Priority will be given to building facilities alongside centres for deep processing of agricultural products to stabilise markets and create jobs; enabling Dak Lak’s key agricultural products to integrate more deeply into export value chains; furthermore, supporting SMEs in accessing capital, land, as well as preferential policies to develop the private sector.

Simultaneously, I will propose allocating resources for investment in strategic transport routes, upgrading National Highways 29 together with 26 and rural transport networks; investing in irrigation works, reservoirs, and smart water resource management systems to proactively respond to drought and natural disasters. I will also propose resolving land-related obstacles, particularly those involving land originating from state farms and forestry enterprises; accelerating the issuance of land use right certificates; as well as creating land funds for economic development and local employment. In parallel, efforts will continue to improve social welfare, better care for women alongside the elderly, enhance quality of life, and build cohesive communities.

I will strive to be worthy of voters’ trust, for the local development and the increasingly improved lives of the people.

♦ Deputy Luong Minh Tung, Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union: Promoting the role of deputies and meeting voters’ expectations.

 

I will maintain close, regular contact with voters, effectively exercise the rights to question and oversee of a NA deputy, as well as properly carry out voter engagement before, during, and after sessions. At the same time, I will develop channels to collect voters’ opinions, especially from young voters in the digital environment.

In addition, I will study and propose mechanisms to protect alongside enhance the value of high-quality agricultural products; recommend to the NA together with Government support mechanisms to prevent, mitigate, and recover from the economic impacts of natural disasters; as well as support specific groups in accessing preferential policies on start-ups and national digital transformation, particularly youth, ethnic minorities, and religious groups. I will also research and propose programmes for socio-eco development in mountainous along with coastal areas linked to environmental protection, as well as policies to preserve and promote traditional cultural values.

I will regularly exercise the rights of questioning and supervision over administrative reform, the roadmap for streamlining the organisational apparatus, and programmes on innovation alongside digital transformation across socio-eco sectors.

With the trust and expectations of voters, I will strive to be worthy of that confidence, serving as a reliable channel to convey faithfully the will and aspirations of the people to the NA forum.
