Removing bottlenecks in tourism and golf course projects to expand development space

Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputies Delegation, and Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of double-digit economic growth in Dak Lak province for the 2026 - 2030 period, recently chaired a meeting with relevant agencies together with units to review obstacles and difficulties related to provincial tourism alongside golf course projects as well as propose solutions for the coming period.

According to reports at the meeting, the province currently hosts 39 tourism projects, including seven resort tourism service projects involving real estate transfer by domestic investors and 32 resort tourism service projects, comprising 28 by domestic investors along with four foreign-invested. Particularly, 28 projects face difficulties and are being prioritised for review as well as resolution by the PPC.

In the golf sector, the province has four projects requiring more than 885.6 hectares of land. However, most are encountering obstacles due to unresolved issues concerning land status and origin, alongside slow implementation progress.

After reviewing reports from departments together with sectors on project progress and proposed solutions, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested that sectors combined with localities coordinate to address bottlenecks hindering tourism and golf course projects, identifying this as a key as well as urgent task to expand development space and generate resources for the provincial double-digit growth target in the 2026 - 2030 period.

The Provincial Party Secretary directed relevant departments, sectors and localities to conduct a comprehensive review of each project, clarifying legal documentation, current land use status alongside land origin, as well as compensation and site clearance plans; categorise obstacles into specific groups, including legal, land-related, planning, along with investor capacity issues to enable definitive solutions and prevent prolonged or overlapping issues. For golf course projects, land allocation must be urgently clarified, with all procedures completed in June, providing a basis for attracting as well as selecting capable investors.

Emphasising the “six clarities” principle, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested the PPC to direct the development of detailed roadmaps as well as plans for each project to address bottlenecks, with regular inspection and supervision, aiming to bring eligible projects into operation at the earliest opportunity, thereby creating high-quality tourism products, increasing added value along with contributing substantively to provincial economic growth.
