Dak Lak: Milestones after nearly one year of provincial merger

Following the historic merger milestone on July 1, 2025, Dak Lak Province has not only embraced vast Central Highlands landscapes but also expanded toward the sea, now possessing all four modes of transport connectivity.

This transformation is reflected not only in provincial impressive economic growth indicators with Q1 GRDP in 2026 surging to 10.79% or in the increasingly prominent global standing of Vietnam’s “coffee capital”, but even more importantly in smiles seen at commune-level Public Administrative Service Centers (PASC) operating under the two-tier local government model.

According to the Central Government’s master planning, by 2030 Dak Lak Province is expected to have three seaports, including two ports in Vung Ro port area alongside one at Bai Goc - Dong Hoa port area, totaling 16-17 berths with combined length of 3,417-3,532 meters.
