The Permanent Board of the Provincial Party Committee convened the 18th meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to review reports from the Steering Committee for implementing double-digit economic growth targets during the 2026 - 2030 period, known as Steering Committee 152, assess socio-eco performance, national defence and security in April, outline key tasks for May 2026, as well as consider several other issues within its authority.

According to reports presented at the meeting, so far, Steering Committee 152 has issued its operating regulations and established four specialised support teams to oversee the implementation of 36 key tasks. The Committee has also completed reviews and adjustments to growth scenarios for the remainder of the year. Under the revised scenario, GRDP for the final months of the year is projected to exceed 152 trillion VND, with quarterly growth expected to average between 10% and 11%.
Delegates analysed existing obstacles and proposed solutions to remove bottlenecks, unlock resources, accelerate delayed projects along with effectively implement the 2026 growth scenario, laying the groundwork for double-digit growth during the 2026 - 2030 period.
Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet stressed the need to urgently consolidate organisational structures, clearly define responsibilities, complete the establishment of working groups and formulate detailed quarterly, monthly and weekly implementation plans. He also called for synchronised implementation across sectors and localities, while prioritising resources for key projects and proactively creating land funds for social housing development.

Departments, sectors, localities and units were instructed to enhance statistical work, develop growth scenarios closely aligned with realities, avoid overlooking potential growth drivers while strengthening administrative reform and reducing processing times, particularly in land as well as auction procedures. Regarding site clearance and public investment, it is necessary to establish special task forces to address bottlenecks, reinforce staffing in key areas, promptly reallocate capital coupled with resolutely replace underperforming officials.
The Provincial Party Secretary also called for stepping up investment promotion efforts, thoroughly preparing for the 2026 investment promotion conference, broadening international investment outreach, strengthening land management, completing planning work, together with studying appropriate decentralisation measures to increase revenue sources.
