A delegation from Dak Lak province led by comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputies’ Delegation, recently paid a courtesy visit to leadership of Mondulkiri province, Kingdom of Cambodia.

Addressing the meeting, Dak Lak Provincial Party Secretary, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet expressed appreciation for the warm reception extended by Mondulkiri authorities alongside congratulated Mr. Kong Kimny on his appointment as Governor of Mondulkiri province.
The Dak Lak Party chief noted that, following its merger with Phu Yen province, newly established Dak Lak has significantly expanded in scale and now possesses considerable potential across agriculture, processing industries, logistics, trade, tourism, services as well as marine-based economic sectors. Strategic location, seaport infrastructure, coupled with similarities in natural conditions and shared strengths in agriculture alongside tourism development, provide a solid foundation for broader cooperation in coming years.
He proposed that both sides further enhance collaboration in trade, agricultural development, eco-tourism, forest protection, biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation. He also called for stronger coordination in border management, information exchange along with efforts against transnational crime, helping foster a peaceful, friendly, stable and prosperous border region.

Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet further expressed hope that both provinces would soon finalise alongside renew their MoU in line with current circumstances, effectively implement agreed cooperation programmes and maintain regular consultation along with review mechanisms. Such efforts, he said, would deepen cooperation between Dak Lak and Mondulkiri, making it increasingly substantive, practical as well as productive.
In his remarks at the reception, Mondulkiri Governor Kong Kimny reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two provinces. He pledged closer coordination in safeguarding security together with public order along border areas, advancing socio-eco development, expanding cultural exchanges, facilitating delegation visits and organising mutual exchanges during major national celebrations in both countries. Such activities, he stressed, would further consolidate long-standing friendship while enduring partnership between Vietnam and Cambodia.
