The PPC Dak Lak, in coordination with the authorities in Mondulkiri province, recently organised a forum in Mondulkiri, Kingdom of Cambodia, aimed at promoting economic and trade cooperation among businesses from both localities.

Opening the forum, comrade Nguyen Thien Van, Dak Lak PPC Vice Chairman, highlighted the forum as a valuable platform for government agencies, organisations along with enterprises from both provinces to strengthen connectivity, exchange information, explore development potential and identify new areas of collaboration. The forum also enabled participants to access investment support policies, seek business partners as well as expand market opportunities.
With complementary strengths in agriculture, agro-processing, trade, logistics, tourism and cross-border commerce, Dak Lak coupled with Mondulkiri are well positioned to advance sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation in investment, production alongside business development.
Within the forum framework, delegates were introduced to investment potential, competitive advantages and investment promotion orientations of both provinces. Participants also witnessed the launch of the bilingual Vietnamese-Khmer investment promotion publication entitled “Dak Lak - Destination of a New Era” before joining business networking sessions designed to explore cooperation opportunities across key sectors.
During the event, Dak Lak Business Association together with an organisation representing Mondulkiri’s business community signed a MoU focused on information exchange regarding investment environments combined with partnership opportunities. The agreement also covers joint investment and trade promotion programmes, alongside support for enterprises seeking partners in agriculture, agro-processing, commerce, services, tourism, logistics and import-export activities. On the same occasion, Dak Lak Rubber JSC along with PSP Rubber Import Export Co., Ltd. of Mondulkiri signed a business cooperation memorandum.

Addressing the forum, Mondulkiri Governor Kong Kimny underscored the significance of the event in creating opportunities for specialised agencies, investors and enterprises from both provinces to exchange views, identify new cooperation directions alongside strengthen investment, trade and business connectivity. He also expressed hope that business communities in Dak Lak coupled with Mondulkiri would continue expanding collaboration with strong support from provincial authorities, thereby contributing to socio-eco progress in each locality.
Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial National Assembly Deputies’ Delegation, highly appreciated the proactive spirit as well as goodwill demonstrated by enterprises from both provinces. He affirmed that Dak Lak would continue accompanying businesses while directing relevant departments and agencies to work closely with Mondulkiri counterparts in fostering favourable conditions for broader cooperation across sectors with significant development potential.
The Provincial Party Secretary expressed confidence that, with strong support from leaders of both provinces along with dynamism within business communities, outcomes achieved at the forum would soon be translated into practical cooperation programmes. Such initiatives, he noted, would further deepen friendship and cooperation between Dak Lak combined with Mondulkiri while generating tangible benefits for enterprises and residents in both localities.
