On July 15, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province held a conference reviewing implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 2024-2026 and signing a novel cooperation MoU for the 2026-2028 period with the Solidarity Front for the Development of the Cambodian Motherland in Mondulkiri Province.

The conference was attended by leaders of Dak Lak Province together with a delegation from Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia, led by Governor Kong Kimny.
Throughout the 2024-2026 period, both sides effectively carried out a broad range of cooperative activities aimed at building a peaceful, friendly and cooperative border while advancing shared development. Border law dissemination was strengthened through more than 375 news reports and articles, alongside 125 public outreach sessions involving over 7,530 officials and border-area residents. Regular exchange programmes, experience-sharing activities between the two Front organisations, as well as people-to-people exchanges across both provinces, were also maintained.
Addressing the conference, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, stressed that further strengthening the longstanding friendship between Dak Lak coupled with Mondulkiri holds great significance for socio-eco development, safeguarding national defence and security, while fostering closer people-to-people exchanges in border communities.
During the conference, both sides signed a MoU for 2026-2028 period, committing to closer coordination in promoting the traditional Vietnam-Cambodia friendship, safeguarding the shared border and boundary markers, supporting humanitarian activities, developing human resources, besides expanding cooperation in trade, investment along with tourism, etc.
