Turning commitments into action after Dak Lak Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference

On July 8, the Dak Lak PPC held a review conference to evaluate the organisation of the Dak Lak Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference, draw lessons from its implementation, alongside outline key follow-up tasks for translating investment commitments into concrete outcomes.

According to the Department of Finance, the conference was organised successfully in a solemn, practical, safe and cost-effective manner, achieving all planned objectives. The event attracted more than 1,250 delegates, including senior Party together with State leaders, representatives from central ministries and agencies, delegates from six provinces coupled with cities, four foreign diplomatic missions, 26 business associations and banking institutions, 24 major corporations, as well as more than 700 enterprises and investors from both within alongside beyond the province.

During the conference, investment policy approvals and amended investment decisions were granted to 25 projects with combined registered capital of approximately 40.294 trillion VND. Survey approvals were granted for three projects worth an estimated 70 trillion VND, while 75 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) covering 119 projects, with total committed capital of around 950.864 trillion VND, were signed as well as exchanged. A series of accompanying events, involving thematic seminars, a private economic forum, a business dialogue, an OCOP fair, together with groundbreaking, inauguration and project launch ceremonies, further showcased Dak Lak's strengths along with development potential, enhanced its investment climate, and generated widespread interest in the provincial long-term prospects.

Alongside these achievements, the Organising Committee candidly acknowledged several shortcomings combined with drew lessons regarding leadership, inter-agency coordination, content preparation, logistics, communications, security arrangements, as well as management of large-scale events.

During the conference, the Department of Finance also announced the establishment of a Project Monitoring and Support Task Force for overseeing investment projects following the 2026 Dak Lak Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Do Huu Huy highly commended the dedication of officials together with strong support from media agencies in ensuring the conference's success. He stressed that the event represented only the starting point of a long-term development journey carrying high expectations from the business community. He urged departments along with agencies to vigorously implementing five priority tasks to maintain the conference's momentum and convert commitments into tangible outcomes. Immediate priority will be given to preparing detailed implementation plans for all signed MoUs as well as approved investment certificates. Simultaneously, the newly established Project Monitoring and Support Task Force will begin operations under the principle of "clear responsibilities, clear assignments, clear timelines, clear accountability and clear oversight for every project", ensuring investors receive consistent support throughout every stage of project implementation.

Comrade Do Huu Huy reaffirmed the provincial commitment to further improving the investment environment, strengthening financial transparency, while sustaining the positive momentum generated by the conference to foster sustainable socio-eco development.

On this occasion, the PPC presented certificates of merit to 23 organisations together with 81 individuals in recognition of their outstanding contributions to organising while supporting the Dak Lak Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference.
