On the morning of August 28, Dak Lak provincial leaders held a ceremony to pay tribute at the Martyrs’ Cemetery in the western part of the province, as well as incense-offering ceremonies at the Buon Ma Thuot Prison Special National Historical Site and the Nam Tien Martyrs’ Memorial, marking the 81st National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).

At the Provincial Martyrs’ Temple and Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery, provincial leaders together with delegates respectfully offered incense and observed a minute of silence in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, along with outstanding sons and daughters of the nation who sacrificed their lives during struggles for national liberation, independence and freedom, as well as people’s happiness. The Party Committee, authorities, armed forces combined with people from all ethnic communities in Dak Lak pledged to carry forward the national traditions, remain united and strive to build an increasingly prosperous, civilised homeland while preserving its distinctive cultural identity.

Following the ceremony at Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery, the provincial delegation proceeded to Buon Ma Thuot Prison Special National Historical Site and Nam Tien Martyrs’ Memorial to offer incense in tribute.

The ceremony served as an occasion for officials, Party members together with residents to remember and honour those who devoted their lives as well as made sacrifices for national independence and freedom. It also helped foster patriotism, national pride alongside a stronger sense of responsibility in safeguarding and developing the homeland.
