On the afternoon of September 28, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, received Ms. Vonekham Cheuangmanivong, Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang, on the occasion of her delegation’s visit, working trip alongside attendance at the first Congress of the Dak Lak Union of Friendship Organisations.

Provincial Party Secretary, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his pleasure at welcoming the Consul General and members of her delegation. He said the Consul General’s presence at the Congress demonstrated deep interest in Dak Lak, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship along with special solidarity between the two countries.

The Dak Lak Party Secretary expressed hope that the Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang would continue serving as a bridge to promote comprehensive cooperation between Dak Lak coupled with Lao localities, particularly in agricultural development, education and human resource training, as well as conservation of rare and endangered animals, etc. Simultaneously, he called for close coordination in preparing activities marking the 65th anniversary of Viet Nam - Laos diplomatic relations (1962 - 2027) together with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Viet Nam - Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (1977 - 2027).

Ms. Vonekham Cheuangmanivong expressed her sincere thanks for the warm and cordial reception extended by Dak Lak’s leaders, while voicing her pleasure at the increasingly close cooperation between the province and Lao localities.

Ms. Vonekham Cheuangmanivong affirmed that the Consulate General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang would do its utmost to accompany, support as well as strengthen connectivity between Lao provinces and Vietnamese provinces and cities in general, along with Dak Lak in particular, while working together to effectively organise major exchange and cooperation events in the coming period.
