As part of a visit and working trip to Thailand, a delegation from the Standing Board of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, led by comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province, held a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand on November 2.
At the meeting, the delegation provided an overview of Dak Lak’s socio-eco development following the local administrative reorganisation, highlighting the provincial potential, advantages and development orientations for the new period.
In the first nine months of 2026, Dak Lak’s exports to Thailand reached 27.98 million USD. As of September 2026, Thai investors had nine provincial projects, with total registered capital of approximately 76.79 million USD, operating in manufacturing, processing, trade alongside distribution. For the 2026 - 2030 period, the province has included 257 projects in its investment promotion portfolio, selecting 20 projects across five sectors with considerable potential for cooperation with Thai businesses: agriculture, industrial park and cluster infrastructure, trade as well as services, logistics, and processing industries.

Addressing the meeting, comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong proposed that the Embassy continue supporting the promotion of the provincial potential and key products, while connecting Dak Lak with Thai investors, importers, distribution networks and industry associations. The province also expressed its desire to promote cooperation in high-tech agriculture, deep processing, logistics and tourism; exchange experience in developing raw material zones, quality management, post-harvest preservation combined with brand building; simultaneously, harness the role of the Vietnamese community in Thailand in promoting products, facilitating trade and fostering investment links.
For its part, Dak Lak pledged to take a proactive approach to coordination, provide relevant information and create favourable conditions for cooperation opportunities to be translated into practical programmes coupled with projects. Concurrently, the province also extended an invitation to the Ambassador and partners to visit Dak Lak to explore its investment environment.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung expressed his hope that Dak Lak would maintain regular contact and provide updates on its socio-eco situation, trade potential along with tourism resources, enabling the Embassy to support promotion efforts, connect the province with partners and help local businesses expand their presence in the Thai market.
