Numerous provincial localities are proactively preparing land while completing infrastructure to welcome investment into community tourism.

Proactively completing infrastructure and legal frameworks

Tuy Hoa ward is actively seeking investment to revive the community tourism product development project in Ngoc Lang vegetable village, while also building Hoa An community tourism site. Alongside creating distinctive tourism products, the locality has committed to streamlining unnecessary administrative procedures (APs), facilitating quick access to potential projects for investors.

Comrade Huynh Thi Kieu Diem, Vice Chairman of the Tuy Hoa Ward People’s Committee, said: “To facilitate investors, the locality has reviewed and simplified numerous APs; simultaneously, it is to accelerate handling applications, striving not to process them ahead of schedule.”

In reality, many tourism projects have faced difficulties in the past due to land-related issues. Therefore, localities are proactively completing the essential infrastructure alongside legal framework.

In Tuy An Dong commune, in order to effectively exploit Co Thach hill area towards tourism development for attracting potential investors, the locality has actively reviewed the planning, coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to gradually complete the legal procedures for the area adjacent to as well as surrounding the National special monument of Da Dia reef.

Comrade Tran Van Bien, Chairman of the Tuy An Dong Communal People’s Committee, said that the PPC has approved the policy of establishing the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan for the area adjacent to and surrounding Da Dia reef. The plan is expected to be officially announced in June, which is an important legal basis for identifying investment projects combined with planning functional zones.

According to Comrade Tran Van Bien, the locality prioritizes investors who partner with the local community in preserving natural resources, generating employment opportunities, increasing income, and fostering sustainable socio-eco development. “We hope that businesses will approach the locality with a spirit of long-term cooperation, collaborating with the residents to build tourism products bringing unique characteristics, competitiveness, along with high added value. The local authorities has committed not only to completing the legal procedures, creating clean land together with necessary infrastructure conditions, but also to accompanying coupled with supporting investors throughout the project implementation and operation”, comrade Bien emphasized.

Dak Lak province possesses considerable potential for developing community tourism with a system of ecological tourism destinations, landscapes, festivals, alongside traditional craft villages stretching from East to West. Beyond creating livelihoods and increasing household income, community tourism also helps the residents directly participate in managing, exploiting, together with preserving local resource values.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province aims to transform tourism into a key economic sector, contributing to achieving double-digit economic growth targets for the 2026-2030 period. Community-based tourism is identified as a crucial product, allowing tourists to experience the life, culture, combined with activities of local people more deeply.

To attract investment in this sector, the tourism industry is coordinating with localities to accelerate administrative procedure reform, creating a transparent, open, alongside favorable investment environment for businesses. The goal is to build a friendly and transparent investment environment, thereby attracting capable businesses to participate in developing community-based tourism in a professional as well as sustainable manner, linked to conserving natural resources coupled with local cultural identity.
