The People's Committee of Ea Knuec commune has announced a series of six activities in response to the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026.
Scheduled from August 15 to September 3, 2026, the programme aims to promote local agricultural products, accelerate digital transformation and preserve traditional cultural identity.
The opening ceremony, themed "Ea Knuec in harvest season", will take place on the morning of August 15 at the commune's central auction site, an ancient durian tree owned by Ms. Duong Thi Phuoc, and a certified durian orchard owned by Mr. Pham Xuan Lan in Tan Hung village. The programme will feature three highlights, including the Durian Queen procession, a re-enactment of the E De people's Prosperity Worship Ceremony, together with the Durian Dance performance.

The Durian and Agricultural-Cultural Products Fair will run from August 15 to 25 at the commune's central auction site, featuring between 100 alongside 150 exhibition booths showcasing agricultural products, OCOP products and traditional crafts. Among them, 30 to 50 booths will be dedicated to outstanding durian products while cultural exhibition spaces will introduce the traditions of the E De, Tay combined with Nung ethnic communities.
A street art performance programme coupled with a stilt-walking competition will be organised on the morning of August 17 at the commune's central auction site, bringing together participants from local schools, villages as well as hamlets.
Additional activities will be held throughout the festival, including the installation of a symbolic check-in landmark, guided durian tasting experiences at orchards, along with online durian sales campaigns promoted through KOLs together with KOCs.
To ensure the festival is organised safely and successfully, the Ea Knuec Commune People's Committee has established a steering committee, an organising committee alongside specialised subcommittees. Specific responsibilities have been assigned to members of the communal Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee together with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
The commune is also coordinating closely with relevant agencies to finalise detailed plans covering traffic management, public security, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation, as well as food safety across all festival venues.
The series of activities is expected to provide an opportunity for the commune to enhance the reputation of Ea Knuec durian brand, foster sustainable trade partnerships between farmers and enterprises, while contributing to the local socio-eco development.
