Vietnam Amazing Cup 2026 honours top specialty coffee lots

The Organising Committee of the Vietnam Amazing Cup 2026, the Vietnam Specialty Coffee Competition 2026, held a ceremony in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Dak Lak province, announcing results and recognising to the most outstanding coffee lots.

The 2026 competition marked a significant expansion in scale, attracting 182 valid entries submitted by 81 entities. These samples represented seven key growing regions nationwide, namely Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Son La, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai and Dong Nai.

Notably, the total registered volume reached an impressive 348 tonnes, comprising 262 tonnes of Robusta, with the largest lot up to 50 tonnes, as well as 86 tonnes of Arabica, with the largest lot reaching 10 tonnes.

To identify the most outstanding samples, the competition applied a rigorous screening process in line with standards set by the Specialty Coffee Association and the Coffee Quality Institute. The entire evaluation process was conducted in accordance with principles of independence, objectivity alongside transparency, from coding and sample roasting to cupping as well as result aggregation via specialised software systems, under close supervision by the Technical Committee.

Following multiple evaluation rounds, the Organising Committee recognised 151 samples meeting specialty coffee standards, scoring 80 points or higher on the international scale. These lots represent the highest-quality, satisfying stringent domestic together with international specialty coffee standards.

At the ceremony, the Organising Committee honoured the Top 10 Arabica and Top 10 Robusta entries, along with presenting awards to the three highest-scoring Robusta and Arabica specialty coffee lots.

Specifically, in the Robusta category, two First Prizes were jointly awarded to Ant Bee Tea and Coffee Co., Ltd alongside producer Nguyen Son Tung, both from Lam Dong province, while the Third Prize went to Bui Coffee Supply Co., Ltd, also based in Lam Dong province.

For Arabica, the First Prize was awarded to Tamba Production and Services Co., Ltd, Gia Lai province; the Second Prize to 8Ro Production, Trading and Services JSC, Lam Dong province; as well as the Third Prize to Aeroco Coffee Co., Ltd, Dak Lak province.

In addition, the Organising Committee presented the Most Popular Robusta award to Bui Coffee Supply Co., Ltd, Lam Dong province, while the Most Popular Arabica award to the Vietnam Coffee Cooperative, Lam Dong province.

Addressing the ceremony, Dak Lak PPC Vice Chairman, comrade Nguyen Thien Van emphasised that after eight years, the Vietnam Specialty Coffee Competition has become not only a reputable professional platform for high-quality coffee producers, but also a strong driving force for the transformation of Vietnam’s coffee sector towards higher added value, sustainable development as well as deeper integration into the global market.

In particular, the competition serves as a vital source of practical data for future research, standardisation and quality development, contributing to shaping global perceptions of Vietnamese coffee, especially Robusta.
