Resolution No. 57 on breakthroughs in science and technology (S&T) development, innovation, alongside national digital transformation (DT), has established an important orientation for higher education advancement. In Dak Lak, many universities along with colleges have proactively developed digital education ecosystems, gradually modernising training methods, scientific research and institutional governance towards modern, smart as well as internationally integrated models.
Applying digital technology
To effectively implement Resolution No. 57, universities and colleges across province are accelerating development of digital learning resources, expanding electronic libraries, promoting online learning models while integrating advanced technologies into training programmes, thereby creating flexible alongside innovative learning environments for students.
At Tay Nguyen University, DT has been identified as a central task within institution’s development strategy for new period. Several new academic programmes aligned with society’s DT demands, including IT, logistics and high-tech agriculture,etc. have been prioritised to meet growing demand for high-quality human resources.

According to Associate Professor and Dr. Le Duc Niem, Vice Rector of Tay Nguyen University, formation of a digital education ecosystem extends beyond investment in technological infrastructure, aiming instead to cultivate a culture of innovation and creativity in teaching as well as learning. Students are encouraged to engage in scientific research and participate in projects applying digital technologies to production activities along with everyday life.
Concurrently, Buon Ma Thuot Medical and Pharmacy University is intensifying digital technology application in healthcare education combined with training. Institution has prioritised construction of digital libraries, electronic learning materials and online learning platforms serving students in medicine, pharmacy alongside nursing programmes. Clinical simulation models combined with blended online and in-person learning are helping strengthen practical skills alongside independent learning capacity among students.
Developing a digital ecosystem
Banking Academy - Phu Yen Campus is among institutions actively developing a digital education ecosystem through expansion of online libraries, digitisation of learning materials alongside application of modern training management platforms. Institution is also strengthening programmes associated with digital economy, including digital finance, digital banking, marketing, business administration and data analytics, aiming to meet workforce demands in digital era.
Universities together with colleges across province are gradually reforming training models towards greater openness, flexibility and deeper technology integration in governance. Many institutions have accelerated development of digital learning repositories, connected shared databases, expanded online classrooms while strengthening cooperation with enterprises to train human resources serving local DT.
Beyond universities, numerous vocational education institutions in Dak Lak are also keeping pace with this trend. Colleges are prioritising technology-oriented disciplines such as IT, automotive engineering, automation, logistics along with industrial electricity, while investing in digital practice laboratories, smart learning models alongside encouraging students to pursue innovation and creative research.
Formation of digital education ecosystems across universities coupled with colleges not only contributes to modernising teaching methods but also establishes a foundation for developing digital human resources across South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.
