Amid rapid shifts in labour market dynamics driven by digital transformation, National Employment Exchange (NEE) establishment not only expands interregional labour connectivity, but also generates a large-scale database covering recruitment demand alongside candidate profiles.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has officially launched the NEE at vieclam.gov.vn, aiming to concretise major policies on science, technology, innovation as well as national digital transformation, particularly Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW together with Government Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP. The platform is considered an important instrument for connecting workers with enterprises in the digital era.

Mr. Le Hai Ly, Director of Dak Lak Employment Service Centre, said that immediately after the platform was launched, the centre intensified communication activities and guidance programmes helping workers access as well as update information on the exchange, while integrating introductions to the platform into local employment-related activities. Relevant information about the NEE are also regularly updated and disseminated across digital platforms.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lanh, Head of Human Resources Department at CCIPY Vietnam Co., Ltd. in An Phu Industrial Park, the NEE launch helps enterprises reduce recruitment expenses alongside shorten hiring time thanks to its nationwide candidate network, while widening access to human resources.
For workers, the platform opens up faster and more transparent access to employment opportunities without administrative boundary constraints. Ms. Do Thi Nhuan, an employee at Regal Spinning along with Textile Co., Ltd., said the exchange provides nationwide recruitment information, making job searches in other provinces more convenient without requiring costly travel to attend in-person job fairs.
As access to information remains limited for many workers, application of digital platforms in matching labour supply with demand is gradually becoming an appropriate direction. Difficulties related to geographical distance, travel costs and lack of transparent recruitment information are being gradually addressed.
According to Mr. Le Hai Ly, digital technology application in labour market connectivity has enabled workers to access employment information more conveniently and promptly, while supporting enterprises in recruitment activities. However, for the platform to maximise effectiveness, several challenges still remain, including limited digital skills among part of workforce, unstable internet infrastructure in remote alongside mountainous areas, together with continued preference for direct employment transaction sessions among many job seekers.
