Dak Lak expects to welcome 473,500 visitors during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration holiday and Reunification Day (April 30) - Labor Day (May 1)

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported that during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration holiday, together with celebrations marking the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South alongside National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026) as well as the 140th International Labor Day (May 1), Dak Lak is expected to welcome around 473,500 visitors for sightseeing, leisure activities and participation in cultural, sports as well as tourism events. Total tourism revenue is projected to reach 527 billion VND.

During the Hung Kings’ Commemoration holiday (April 25-27, 2026), the province is estimated to receive 123,500 visitors, including about 60,000 overnight guests. Total tourism revenue is estimated at over 180 billion VND, with accommodation revenue accounting for roughly 40 billion VND. Compared with the same period in 2025, major indicators are expected to record strong growth exceeding 25%.

For the Reunification Day and May Day holiday, supported by a range of tourism stimulus activities, Dak Lak is forecast to attract about 350,000 visitors province-wide, up 18.64% year-on-year. Of the total, international arrivals are estimated at 4,300, rising 36.5%, while domestic visitors are projected at 335,700, up 15%. Overnight stays are expected reach approximately 140,000, an increase of 11.11%. Total revenue is expected at approximately 347 billion VND, up 31.93% compared to the same period last year.

According to the department, increases in visitor numbers alongside overnight stays during the holiday have driven further improvement in tourism revenue, reflecting effectiveness of promotional efforts together with ongoing improvements in quality of tourism products, services across the province.

The department has issued directives requiring tourism businesses to publicly list prices, strictly adhere with posted rates. Tourist sites offering services on rivers, lakes, waterfalls are required to regularly review tour programmes, inspect quality and upgrade facilities. Rescue, emergency teams must be on duty 24/7 to promptly respond to any incidents, ensuring absolute safety for visitors, etc.
