A major highlight of the festival will be a branding campaign aimed at affirming the province’s market position through international records alongside digital trade solutions. The Dak Lak Durian Association has completed negotiations with representatives of Guinness World Records to register three world records related to durian, including a convoy of 500 pickup trucks transporting durians, a formation of 100 pickup trucks spelling out “DAKLAK,” and a durian tower installation. Durian-growing communes such as Krong Pac coupled with Ea Knuc are also preparing modern commercial models as well asvibrant cultural programmes and street festival activities to welcome visitors.

According to comrade Lai Duc Dai, Chairman of the Krong Pac Commune People’s Committee, key highlights in the locality during the festival will include Krong Pac durian auctions and live-streamed sales sessions featuring well-known KOCs together with KOLs, etc. Concurrently, a pilot model covering more than 200 hectares of durian cultivation will be implemented to establish standardised organic production procedures, along with QR code-based traceability systems to ensure product origin transparency.

In Ea Knuc Commune, the “Ea Knuc in Season” programme will officially open on August 15, featuring a series of cultural combined with tourism activities. A key highlight will be the revival of the Ede ethnic group’s “sufficient harvest offering” ritual, a ceremonial procession of the Durian Queen, and a distinctive Durian Dance performance. Alongside a durian fair comprising 100-150 booths, the locality will also host an investment promotion conference to officially launch the Ea Knuc Collective Durian Brand. Agreements will be signed between enterprises coupled with local residents to develop a sustainable ecosystem, while strengthening management of cultivation area codes to meet export standards.
