From August 14-23, 2026, the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival welcomed 515,350 visitors, including approximately 13,940 international arrivals. Tourism and service revenue during the festival was estimated at 776.85 billion VND.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, nearly 158,000 visitors stayed overnight, accounting for more than 30% of total arrivals. This segment generated approximately 527 billion VND through accommodation, dining, entertainment and shopping services. Concurrently, day trips along with festival experiences contributed a further 250 billion VND to overall tourism revenue.

Notably, dining generated the largest share, at nearly 300 billion VND, equivalent to around 38.55% of total revenue. Entertainment, recreation and shopping brought in nearly 293 billion VND, accounting for approximately 37.7%, while accommodation services contributed around 184.5 billion VND, or nearly 23.75%.

During festival days, visitors ventured beyond central Buon Ma Thuot, where major activities were held, to explore tourist attractions, heritage sites and museums province-wide. Destinations drawing large crowds included Krong Pac, Krong Buk, Cu M’gar, Ea Knuec, Ea Phe combined with Quang Phu, among others.

These figures underscore the appeal of the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival, which extended beyond trade promotion to generate wider benefits for tourism coupled with services. Combining festival activities with visits to growing areas, tourist attractions, heritage sites and museums broadened visitor experiences while creating more opportunities for local communities, businesses and residents to benefit from tourism.

With substantial visitor numbers alongside revenue generated within a short period, the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival demonstrates strong potential for closer integration among agriculture, tourism, culture and services, gradually positioning durian as part of Dak Lak’s destination brand.
