On August 16, the Organising Committee of the “Largest Parade of Fruit-Carrying Vehicles” held a ceremony to receive the Guinness World Records certificate, marking a special journey involving more than 500 pickup trucks carrying durians.

From Tan An Square in Krong Pac commune, the convoy set off towards the provincial centre along Vo Nguyen Giap Road. Large crowds of local residents and visitors gathered along the route to watch the convoy of pickup trucks carrying durians from growing areas, creating an impressive spectacle and attracting considerable public attention.

Following the parade, the Organising Committee honoured more than 500 drivers who participated in the programme while expressing its appreciation to sponsors, enterprises and partner organisations.

At the ceremony, Ms. Sohn Minyoung, a Guinness World Records adjudicator, announced and presented the Guinness World Records certificate for the “Largest Parade of Fruit-Carrying Vehicles” to the Organising Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Anh Trung, Chairman of the Dak Lak Durian Association, expressed his appreciation to enterprises, sponsors, benefactors and individuals who had contributed to the programme.

According to Mr. Trung, the record not only makes a strong impression nationally but also provides an opportunity to promote the Dak Lak brand on the international stage. The participation of 500 pickup trucks carrying durians demonstrates the solidarity and collective efforts of local residents, enterprises and the wider community in promoting the province’s key agricultural product.

The Guinness World Records achievement is a notable highlight of the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival, contributing to raising the profile of Dak Lak, enhancing the value of its durian brand and expanding access to domestic alongside international markets. It also advances the ambition of bringing Dak Lak durians and other agricultural products to markets worldwide.
