Durian and OCOP Product Exhibition and Promotion Area opens

On August 15, at the Provincial Cultural and Tourism Centre in Buon Ma Thuot ward, the Organising Committee of the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival held the opening ceremony for the Durian alongside OCOP Product Exhibition and Promotion Area, as part of the festival.

In opening remarks, comrade Dao My, PPC Chairman and Head of the Festival Organising Committee, affirmed that the exhibition coupled with promotion area provides a venue for residents and visitors to directly experience as well as enjoy products, while gaining a deeper insight into products shaped by Dak Lak’s land and people. The event is expected to raise the profile of Dak Lak products, create opportunities for local enterprises to forge novel linkages, expand market opportunities for OCOP products and further position the Dak Lak durian brand in international markets.

The exhibition along with promotion area features nearly 400 booths operated by 155 enterprises, showcasing fresh durians, signature agricultural products, OCOP products, outstanding rural industrial products, processed goods, handicrafts, souvenirs and tourism products from localities province-wide as well as other parts of the country.

The products are displayed in dedicated sections, including booths featuring festival sponsors, foreign enterprises combined with major durian enterprises; a business-to-business (B2B) trading and networking area; alongside a shared booth showcasing 3 - 5-star OCOP products coupled with outstanding rural industrial products from 102 communes and wards province-wide.

A major highlight of the exhibition is the dedicated durian industry zone, showcasing premium fresh durian varieties, deep-processed durian products, agricultural inputs and ancillary products for the durian industry.

Beyond product displays, residents together with visitors can sample durian-based dishes free of charge, take souvenir photos as well as participate in interactive mini-games at participating booths. The programme also features KOL and KOC interations, livestream sales as well as nightly entertainment, artistic and musical performances. Trade promotion, B2B transactions combined with business networking activities are also being organised throughout the event, which runs from August 15 to August 23.
