Addressing the opening ceremony, Comrade Do Huu Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and PPC Chairman, emphasised that Dak Lak now has a new development landscape that brings together the distinctive advantages of the highlands and the sea, coupled with unique cultural values. Within this new development space, agriculture remains an important economic foundation, with a shift in focus from output management towards value management.
Durian cultivation will be developed not simply on the basis of acreage and output, but on quality, standards, science and technology, value-chain linkages, deep processing and branding. The province will also promote linkages among farmers, cooperatives, enterprises, packing facilities, processors, logistics providers, distributors and importers, thereby forming a professional and sustainable durian ecosystem.
The PPC Chairman emphasised that Dak Lak will continue to step up trade promotion, digital transformation, e-commerce and digital communications, while linking agriculture with culture and tourism to further enhance product value and raise the profile of the Dak Lak durian brand among domestic and international consumers.

The opening programme was developed in the style of artistic political theatre, contemporary epic performance and an integrated festival. A notable feature of the programme was its storytelling approach, which presented durian not merely as an agricultural product, but as part of an interconnected ecosystem involving farmers, enterprises, scientists, managers and the market.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam Record Organisation announced and presented certificates recognising two Vietnam Records: the “Largest Durian Basket Model in Vietnam” and the “Event Featuring the Largest Number of Durian-Based Dishes Prepared and Presented in Vietnam”.
