Multiple coastal localities are ramping up large-scale cultural, sports, alongside entertainment events during summer season, which offers fresh experiences for residents together with tourists, promoting the destination image, thereby stimulating tourism demand coupled with driving economic growth.

This summer, coastal destinations are buzzing with a continuous lineup of cultural, artistic, and sporting activities that serve as major attractions, drawing large crowds of locals as well as visitors.

As night falls, the coastal atmosphere comes alive with modern artistic performances. Nghinh Phong square (Tuy Hoa ward) stands out with DJ sets, state-of-the-art sound alongside lighting systems, while Truong Thinh park (Dong Hoa ward) offers an acoustic performances enriched by traditional lithophone music. Blending contemporary art combined with indigenous culture has created a distinctive appeal for nighttime coastal tourism.

Clearly, these cultural activities are no longer merely seasonal tourism offerings; they are expanding the visitor experience space, extending stay lengths, as well as giving tourists compelling reasons to return. This marks a strategic shift from simply leveraging scenic beauty to highlighting cultural depth in the coastal tourism development.

A distinctive identity for each locality

Binh Kien ward welcomes the summer with a series of cultural alongside sporting activities running from April through August. Centered on the theme “Say Binh Kien!”, the program features a diverse range of events, including the Chop Chai mountain conquest marathon, the Binh Kien sea SUP race, beach-based folk games, together with various community sports activities. These are complemented by cultural event series coupled with culinary promotion programs. “Cultural alongside sports activities not only boost the beach tourism appeal but also help preserve traditional cultural values, leverage local resources, foster community engagement, as well as gradually establish the Binh Kien tourism brand towards green, sustainable, and rich in local identity,” said comrade Nguyen Le Vi Phuc, Binh Kien Ward Party Committee Secretary.

In Tuy Hoa ward, tourism promotion activities have been implemented flexibly, coinciding with holidays, the Tet festival, and weekends. Cultural alongside artistic performances are combined with culinary zones, showcases of OCOP goods coupled with distinctive tourism products. This approach has helped maintain tourism appeal throughout the summer, generating a 65-billion-VND revenue during H1 of the year together with attracting 58,000 visitor arrivals who utilized local tourism services along with accommodation.

Concurrently, in early August, Dong Hoa ward continued to energize the tourism season with a series of cultural coupled with artistic activities at the July 1st Square and Truong Thinh park. Highlights included kite-flying performances, music nights, street food zones, in conjunction with the “National Flag Street” installation attracted large crowds of locals alongside tourists.

The beach tourism is gaining novel momentum from cultural, sports, artistic activities, together with local experiences. Diversifying products in coordination with delving into the depth of maritime cultural values are creating fresh appeal for destinations while reinforcing sustainable development across the local marine economy.
