One year after Politburo Resolution No. 71 on breakthroughs in education and training took effect, Dak Lak's education sector has recorded significant strides in digital transformation (DX), AI adoption, coupled with teaching innovation, contributing to higher education quality.

To translate Resolution No. 71 into practice, Dak Lak Department of Education and Training (DOET) introduced its 2026 DX plan while launching the "Digital Literacy for All" campaign, aimed at equipping officials, teachers alongside residents with essential digital skills.

According to DOET Director, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan, provincial digital education infrastructure now largely meets operational needs. Every educational institution is connected via fibre-optic internet, all schools have adopted electronic academic records, teachers use digital signatures, every eligible administrative procedure is available through fully online public services, while digital management platforms and cashless payment systems for tuition coupled with other school fees have been rolled out across the sector.

Alongside DX, AI integration has become a catalyst for improving classroom practice. At Cao Ba Quat High School in Tan An Ward, an online learning resource platform has been developed, with all professional records, grade books and student transcripts digitised before being integrated into the DOET database. Teachers use AI tools, including ChatGPT alongside Gemini, to prepare lesson plans, develop digital learning resources as well as design examination blueprints. Students, meanwhile, are encouraged to use AI responsibly before submitting assignments through the school's Learning Management System (LMS).

Three STEM laboratories have also been put into operation. According to Mr. Le Thanh Phuong, Principal of Nguyen Hue High School in Tuy Hoa Ward, the laboratory, jointly funded by DOET together with Vietnam National Industry-Energy Group, features modern machinery, specialised equipment, smart learning resources and an integrated learning management system. The facility enables students to access advanced technologies, explore future career pathways while strengthening practical competencies.

Concurrently, DOET is proposing the "Dak Lak OpenEdu" initiative, an open digital learning repository intended to provide shared educational resources, foster independent learning besides enhancing professional collaboration among teachers.

According to DOET Director, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan, more than 70% of officials and teachers across the sector have achieved basic digital competency standards, whereas over half have completed training in data analysis, data utilisation, Learning Management System (LMS) administration together with digital lesson design.

Achievements recorded during the first year of Resolution No. 71 have accelerated DX throughout Dak Lak's education sector, driven innovation in teaching methods, strengthened governance and gradually shaped a modern learning environment.
