Launch of four "Digital Mass Education" models

The PPC recently held an event marking National Innovation Day (October 1) and National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) 2026, under the theme “Innovation and Digital Transformation across the Value Chain for Aquaculture, Processing alongside Sustainable Fisheries Development in Dak Lak Province”.

At the event, the province launched four pilot models under the “Digital Mass Education” movement, in line with Plan No. 406: “Outstanding Digital Citizens”; “Outstanding Digital Villages, Hamlets and Residential Areas”; “Digital Rural Areas - Generating Wealth through Technology”; along with “Digital Villages and Hamlets in Ethnic Minority Areas”.

In her keynote address, PPC Standing Vice Chairwoman, comrade Ho Thi Nguyen Thao stressed that implementing the movement was a concrete step towards realising Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW while bringing digital technology (DT) to every resident and household. The goal is not merely to increase the number of accounts or applications installed, but to help people learn to utilize, trust as well as benefit from technology in their daily lives. This includes proactively accessing online public services, making cashless payments, using VNeID for electronic identification, and strengthening their ability to protect themselves online.

Provincial leaders called on the 12 communes coupled with wards selected for the pilot to promptly roll out the models, leveraging the role of community DT teams, Youth Union members, grassroots police, village elders and respected community members. The approach is guided by the motto “go to every alley, knock on every door, guide every person”, "leave no one behind".

As part of the event, a scientific seminar and discussion entitled “Solutions for Connecting the Fisheries Innovation Ecosystem in Dak Lak Province” focused on high technology, automation, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), traceability, preservation combined with advanced processing. The discussions aimed to strengthen supply-demand linkages and promote technology transfer into production.

The event also featured an exhibition showcasing technologies as well as digital transformation solutions for aquaculture and seafood processing, alongside technologies supporting management and commerce.
