The Organising Committee of the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026 has selected the design for the festival's public check-in attraction, the Giant Durian Tower.

The selected design takes the form of a traditional gùi, a woven carrying basket symbolising the daily life, livelihoods and cultural identity of the ethnic communities in the Central Highlands.
The Giant Durian Tower will make its debut during this year’s Durian Festival. The distinctive structure, measuring 16m wide and 18m high, will be installed at March 10 Square in Buon Ma Thuot ward, creating a signature attraction for residents along with visitors throughout the festival.
Dak Lak Province has assigned relevant agencies to finalise the design, ensuring that it reflects the traditional cultural identity of the Central Highlands, aligns with the festival's theme, meets quality and aesthetic standards, is completed on schedule as well as complies with current regulations.
Simultaneously, the province will coordinate closely with the Vietnam Records Organisation to complete technical documentation, agree on technical requirements, alongside finalising procedures for official recognition as a Vietnam Record, ensuring completion before the festival opens.
The Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026 will feature 17 main activities, taking place from August 15 to September 2, 2026, in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Krong Pac commune, Tuy Hoa ward as well as other durian-growing localities province-wide.
