From a heroic tradition, nurturing the aspiration for growth

From spirit of the great victory on April 30, 1975, resilience, steadfast belief together with aspiration for development have been carried forward and forged into an endogenous resource, creating momentum for Dak Lak’s growth.

Since the renewal period, particularly in recent years, Dak Lak has seen clear progress: GRDP in the 2020 - 2025 period grew at an average of 6.24% annually, reaching 7.49% in the Q1 of 2026; GRDP per capita in 2025 reached 80.6 million VND. Agriculture continues to serve as a pillar, maintaining stable production; key agricultural products including coffee together with rubber have increased in value through processing and market linkages; while high-tech, organic, and circular agriculture models have been expanded. Industry, renewable energy, along with services have shown positive transformation; transport and urban infrastructure have steadily improved; national target programmes have been effectively implemented, contributing to improved living standards along with narrowing regional disparities.

The spirit of Great Spring Victory of April 30, 1975 is being continued along with strongly disseminated in Dak Lak’s development thinking, aspirations, as well as actions. During the working visit to Dak Lak in early 2026, General Secretary and State President, comrade To Lam highly appreciated the provincial potential alongside position while expressing confidence that Dak Lak will play a more proactive role in the national development structure, becoming a development space with distinct identity and clear, responsible contributions to the major national goals.

To concretise this direction, according to comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Dak Lak remains steadfast in renewing its growth model towards sustainability, defining economic development as harmonised with environmental protection, preservation of cultural identity, and social security, while considering the distinctive cultural values of ethnic communities are regarded as an important endogenous resource.

The province prioritises building a comprehensive master plan with a long-term vision, restructuring development space along the “coastal - highland - border” axis, linked with synchronised infrastructure investment to create growth poles and enhance competitiveness. It is shifting strongly towards intensive growth, with agro-processing, renewable energy, digital economy, and tourism as driving forces; simultaneously, addressing institutional bottlenecks, particularly in land related to state-run agricultural along with forestry enterprises, improving investment environment, and promoting private sector.

In parallel with economic development is human resource development, prioritising education as well as training, especially in rural areas and among ethnic minority communities, in association with science, technology, and digital transformation. The province is committed to maintaining national defence alongside security, ensuring political and social stability; building a streamlined, effective political system, along with strengthening discipline and accountability. Administrative reform, improved investment climate, combined with the rollout of infrastructure, energy and high-tech agricultural projects, together with the digital economy, are generating new growth momentum. The overarching objective is comprehensive, sustainable development, improved quality of life, reduced regional disparities, alongside aspiration to achieve double-digit growth in the coming years.

Building on spirit of the victory, Dak Lak, a dynamic province rich in identity as well as internal strength, is on the rise, joining the nation in building a strong and prosperous Vietnam in the new era.
